PROPANE TANK SIZES
We offer a wide selection of propane tanks for your home and business. Our above-ground tanks come in 120, 250, 500, and 1000-gallon volumes. We also offer underground tanks in 250, 500 and 1000-gallon volumes. Choosing the right tank size can save you money by controlling how often your tank needs to be filled. Review the propane tank size guide below for more information on propane tank sizes. Tanks are filled to a maximum of 80% of their capacity. As the temperature changes, the liquid propane in the tank expands.
1,000 GALLON
Holds 800 gallons of propane. Used in Large commercial applications and heating larger homes with multiple appliances.
500 GALLON
Holds 400 gallons of propane.
Often used to heat homes with 2-3 propane appliances and small commercial applications.
250 GALLON
Holds 200 gallons of propane.
Used to heat a smaller space with 2-propane appliances and small commercial applications.
120 GALLON
Holds 96 gallons of propane.
Often used for low BTU appliances with less demand like a water small appliances.
ABOVE-GROUND TANKS
Our above-ground tanks come in 120, 250, 500, and 1000-gallon volumes. Above-ground propane tanks are less expensive and quick to install than underground tanks. They are more accessible for refilling and maintenance. Above-ground tanks are required to be place on cinder blocks or a cement pad.
UNDERGROUND TANKS
If you don’t like the visual appeal of propane tanks, then consider an underground tank. We offer propane tanks in 250, 500 and 1000-gallon volumes. Underground tanks are more temperature controlled because they are exposed to less extreme temperatures. Also, underground tanks can increase the value of your home. However, these tanks cost more to install.
